We provide safe, timely alternatives to emergency rooms and hospitals, helping patients heal faster, reduce stress and feel confident in their care. Darshikkumar Patel, FNP-C

Family Nurse Practitioner · Urgent & Occupational Care

Darshikkumar Patel is a Family Nurse Practitioner specializing in urgent care, occupational health and primary care. He began his nursing career in 2016 as a wound care nurse before moving to intensive care, where he cared for patients with complex medical needs. After completing his nurse practitioner education in 2022, he completed a community health fellowship through the Vanderbilt School of Nursing and Vanderbilt University Medical Center, gaining further experience in complex primary care.

Since 2022 he has worked in outpatient settings, focusing on urgent care since January 2024. He provides timely care for urgent medical needs while supporting occupational health services, including work-related injuries and pre-employment examinations. He is passionate about helping patients get appropriate treatment while avoiding unnecessary emergency room visits, and takes pride in serving his local community.

Shakumar Patel, MD

Board-Certified Internal Medicine · Adult Urgent & Acute Care

Dr. Shakumar Patel is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician with broad experience in adult urgent and acute care. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Hackensack Meridian Health Ocean University Medical Center, where he also served as Chief Resident, leading in clinical operations, quality improvement and physician education.

He has extensive experience managing adult urgent care presentations including chest pain, shortness of breath, abdominal pain, infections, dehydration, hypertensive urgency and metabolic derangements. His background as a hospitalist allows him to evaluate high-acuity patients efficiently, start timely stabilization and arrange escalation of care when needed. He also serves as teaching faculty for an Internal Medicine residency program, is certified in ACLS and BLS, and is known for a thorough, systematic and patient-centered approach.
